ShftPlay is a bite-sized learning and revision platform that turns complex concepts into short, visual, and interactive learning experiences. We’re starting with UI/UX learning, with plans to grow into Finance, Law, Class 8–12 education, and government-job and competitive-exam preparation.

ShftPlay is operated by ShftPlay, based in Cooch Behar, West Bengal, India. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use ShftPlay, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices available to you.

By downloading, accessing, or using ShftPlay, you agree to the practices described here. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the App. This policy covers ShftPlay’s mobile app and shftplay.com, and applies to users everywhere, with rights and protections specific to your location noted in Section 10.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand website usage, feature usage, traffic, product performance, general engagement, and technical or performance issues.

Advertising. ShftPlay uses advertising services to display, measure, and improve ads. We distinguish between where each provider operates:

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide ShftPlay, maintain your account and learning history, provide personalization, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, and maintain security.

When you delete your account, we aim to delete your personal information within 7 days. After that, we retain only information we’re legally required to keep — we don’t hold on to your data for any other purpose.

ShftPlay uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, disclosure, destruction, or loss. Our current backend and database infrastructure runs on Supabase; we may introduce AWS as additional infrastructure in the future as ShftPlay grows.

Depending on the system, this may include secure authentication, access controls, encryption where appropriate, monitoring, and backups. That said, no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security, and we can’t promise that data transmission or storage will be 100% secure.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. As ShftPlay expands into Class 8–12 education as part of our roadmap, we’ll put appropriate age-related safeguards, consent requirements, and privacy practices in place, as required by applicable law.

Some of the third-party technology providers described in Sections 05 and 06 may process information outside India. Where this happens, your information may be processed in other countries, and we’ll take the measures required by applicable law for that kind of transfer.

If you create notes or other learning content in ShftPlay, we store it so you can access and use it through your account. We don’t use your private, user-created content for unrelated purposes without an appropriate legal basis or your permission, where required. When you delete your account, your user-created content is generally deleted along with it, subject to any legally required retention.

We may update this Privacy Policy as our product evolves, our technology changes, our third-party services change, or legal requirements change. The Effective Date and Last Updated date at the top of this page reflect the current version. For material changes, we may notify you through the app, our website, email, or other appropriate means.
